This is my town, Portland Maine. We received 14 inches of snow over the weekend, and then business went on as usual, you know, because it's Maine and this shit happens all the time.

Knitted stockings

So I have noticed lately that the trend of wearing thigh high knitted stockings is coming back. I really like the look, and I like how they are more flattering than nylon stockings because the top of the stocking tends to roll down slightly. Still I have a feeling it's kind of a trend reserved for skinny girls whose legs don't touch :( ahh well, I might just knit a pair anyways.

I am working on finishing my application to join the Peace Corps. Everything else in my life feels like it is spiraling  out of reach and this seems to be the one buoy of hope in a sea of disappointment and failed expectations.
